Important News and Updates on the Conference
On behalf of the 2011-2012 Chairman of the European network Social Firms Europe CEFEC, The Regional Association of Adult Education Suceava AREAS, we wish to kindly remind you that if you want to beneficiate from our discounts you have to Register for the Conference only until the 15 of August 2012!!! Here is a list with all the important changes and updates on the Conference so far:

If you register till 15 of August 2012 for the CEFEC Conference and you need accommodation in Suceava, we negotiated a special prize in a 3 stars hotel, situated in the city center and which is just 5 minutes from the conference hall and the location of the Social Economy Fair. The price for a single room is 30 Euro/night (135 RON/night; 1 Euro=4,5 RON) and 40 Euro/night (180 RON/night) for a double room. „Ştefan cel Mare” University of Suceava (Faculty of Geography and History, Department of Human and Socio-Political Sciences), in partnership with The Regional Association for Adult Education Suceava, the President of Social Firms Europe CEFEC and with The Evaluation of Competencies Centre in Social Assistance (CFCECAS) invite you to participate at The University Academic Session organized within the International Conference „Social Economy, Trend or Reality”.

The University Academic Session is part of the General Programme of the Conference and it will take place on September 21st 2012 at „Ştefan cel Mare” University from Suceava, in parallel with the rest of the events. Your article’s summary must be in English (but also in Romanian for Romanian participants) (250 words maximum) and will be sent to the following e-mail address: cefecsession2012@usv.ro until July 31st 2012. The deadline for sending the final form of the articles is August 15th 2012. The University Academic Session will benefit from international peer-review, and the articles will be published at the „Ştefan cel Mare” Publishing House in a volume in English.

Useful information on how to get to Suceava

BY AIR from Bucharest you can take the plain Tarom Company which flies every day from Bucharest International Otopeni Airport to Stefan cel Mare/Salcea Airport from Suceava at 9.30 PM (it’s just one flight per day from Bucharest to Suceava).

Stefan cel Mare/Salcea Airport is 10 km from Suceava City; (you need a transport for transfer Salcea Airport to hotel in Suceava and we will arrange a minibus, just we need to know how many persons we will wait, to know exactly the price/per person).
From Suceava to Bucharest you have also an every day flight, in the morning at 6.00 from Airport Stefan cel Mare/Salcea Suceava.

At the Bus Station from Suceava we will wait for you by Minibus or Bus, depends on the number of persons; it is just 5 minutes by walk till the Continental Hotel.
To get from airport Bucharest Otopeni to the Bus Station – Bucharest Obor take Public Bus No 780, to the Piatsa Unirii, then change and take metro/underground train in direction Dristor 2.
Important!!! If you register for the conference till 15 of August 2012 we can arrange for a bus to pick you up from the Otopeni Airport to Suceava and the price will be about 15 Euro/person (70 RON).

From the airport Otopeni/Henri Coanda or Baneasa to Bucharest North Train Station
You can take a Public Bus No. 780 (aprox. cost 7 – 10 RON / 1,10 – 2,43 Euro, one way). This bus you can take in front of the airport, directly to the main train station – Bucharest North. Also you can take a taxi, which costs aprox. 10 – 15 Euro, from airport to the main train station.
From Bucharest North Train Station to Suceava/Burdujeni Train Station
The recommended station is Suceava/Burdujeni. From Bucharest North train station to Suceava/Burdujeni train station it’s about 6 hours. Here we will wait for you by minibus or bus – depends on number of persons.

Study Visit Location 1: FARA Foundation

FARA Foundation has been working with orphans and abandoned children and young people since 1991. They aim at transforming the lives of some of the most vulnerable and marginalized children and young people, some with disabilities, by providing care, family support, (special needs) education and training. Its mission is to develop and provide services for these children, young people and their families enabling them to live a normal life, reach their potential, giving them a way out of poverty and promoting social and economic inclusion whilst giving Christian values and hope for the future.

Study Visit Location 2: NATHANAEL Farm

The original Nathanael farm was established as a small farm for teaching and raising orphans who came here from the County Department of child protection. The farm was conceived and organized after an American pattern, with 90 dairy Holstein cows, producing daily around 3,500 liters of milk. It is used in pastries, ice cream. It is to be mentioned that a part of the milk product is donated to the elderly asylums, children homes, when natural disasters occur, etc. Nathanael farm has around 150 hectares of agricultural land, cultivated with wheat, corn, peas, hay. In the farm there is a grain mill which was built and endowed with modern equipment, which comply with quality standards in compliance with the processing, storage and networking materials.
