27-31 October 2013: Seminar “Peace building Through Gender Lens:Youth Fighting Gender-Based Discrimination” Budapest (Hungary)
Organised by the Youth Peace Ambassadors network, with the support of the Youth Department of the Council of Europe, the seminar aims at bringing together active young people from different parts of Europe to explore gender based violence and discrimination and how to address it in conflict transformation and peace building activities. The seminar will provide participants the opportunity to share knowledge and best practices in combating gender based discrimination.
Participants are expected to take part in the preparation of the database which will include good practices and innovative solutions for gender equality in peacebuilding and youth work.
The seminar is addressed to youth workers and youth activists, from 18 to 30 years old, from the member states of the Council of Europe, interested in gender and peace building and willing to cooperate with the Youth Peace Ambassadors Network.
