7-10 October 2013: European Week of Regions and Cities – OPEN DAYS 2013

European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.

The 2013 edition is being organised under the slogan “Taking off for 2020” focusing on regions’ and cities’ commitment in preparing and delivering their cohesion policy programmes for the period 2014-2020.

Workshops and debates will be held in Brussels, Belgium as well as all over Europe.

 

The event is jointly organised by the Committee of the Regions and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy, in partnership with 200 regions and cities from 30 countries.
