A poster and a video competition have been launched to celebrate the Safer Internet Day 2012

A poster and a video competition have been launched to celebrate the Safer Internet Day 2012, centred on the theme “Connecting generations and educating each other”.
The aim is to encourage young and old users to discover the digital world together safely!

SID poster competition:
Participants have to create a poster using the initials ‘SID’, or focus on ‘Connecting generations’ theme, using any media they want.
The poster can be in any language and be easy to understand. It should also have a short summary in English (maximum 100 words).

SID video competition:
Participants have to create a short video, of maximum 2 minutes, on the theme of ‘Connecting generations’.
The video can be done in any language and be easy to understand. It should also have a short summary in English (maximum 100 words).

Eligibility:
The competition is open to individuals or groups of children and young people from 5 to 19 years old from all over the world, divided in these three age categories:
– 9 years old and under
– 10 -14 years old
– over 14 years old.

For both competitions, an adult should be the main point of contact for participants’ online submission.

Prizes:
There will be a winner and two runners up for each category.
They will receive games and for the over 14 years old winners, the chance of taking part in an ‘online safety’ summer camp in Romania.

Deadline: 29 February 2012 at 23.59 (CET).
