Assessment of the implementation of Safer Social Networking Principles for the EU published

n June 2011, the European Commission has published the first batch of findings of a second independent assessment of the implementation of the Safer Social Networking Principles for the EU. The report shows that social networking sites fail to protect minor’s privacy. Only two social networking sites tested protect minors’ profiles by default, while just four ensure minors can be contacted by friends only.
