EU Youth in Action programme – successful interim evaluation

The European Commission has published a mid-term review carried out by independent experts and participating countries of the Youth in Action programme which targets young people, youth organisations and youth workers and aims to build capacities through non-formal education.

The evaluation highlights that the programme is fulfilling its objectives, is relevant, coherent, efficient, adds value and has seen unparalleled customer satisfaction.

Some recommendations for future improvement were also made, such as simplifying the programme design and cutting red-tape, focusing more on employability, further promoting actions for disadvantaged youths, targeting young people better and improving the follow-up system.
