Present at U talk – on Euronews- European Commissioner for Education and Youth, Androulla Vassiliou has addressed the question of how can we encourage student mobility in Europe?
At this current stage, the European Union is supporting about 500.000 young people to be mobile, either to study abroad or to train abroad, or even to volunteer in some foreign countries. With all this, only 14% of European young people have the opportunity to study or train abroad and that is because of a lack of funds.
Therefore, the Commissioner has emphasized on her commitment to press for more funds towards mobility projects, as well as, overcoming administrative and legal barriers that make it difficult for young people to become mobile.
