17 May: International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia

Today is the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, established by the European Parliament in 2007.

According to a survey carried out by the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) among more than 93,000 people in the EU and Croatia (people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered) continue to experience widespread discrimination and harassment.
