The Anna Lindh Mediterranean Journalist Award 2012 has been launched!
Journalists of written press, television, radio and new media, citizens of the 42 countries of the Union for the Mediterranean are invited to submit their works tackling intercultural issues between and within Euro-Mediterranean societies.
The special award for this year will be given to the work on the theme: “Reporting on civil society and democracy-building”. Works could have been published in printed/online media, or broadcast on radio or television between the 1st July 2011 and 1st July 2012.
Each participant may submit up to three entries in any language, accompanied with a complete translation/script in English or French.
Five winners for each category will be awarded during a ceremony in Berlin on 18th October 2012.
The winners will receive a cash prize and will be involved in the Anna Lindh Foundation’s regional activities during a whole year.
Deadline to submit entries is 20th July 2012 (12.00 Egyptian time GMT+2)
