Online consultation on the roaming system in the EU
The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) has launched a consultation on the mobile roaming system in the EU in order to draw up a dedicated strategy on the future of mobile communications within the EU, which may include abolishing roaming charges altogether.
Citizens, companies, consumer associations and other interested parties are invited to express their ideas.
Contributors will be invited to a public hearing on the future of roaming in the EU which the EESC plans to organise in Brussels in October.
All contributions will also feed into an information report to back up the Committee’s input into the debate on the future of roaming in the EU.
The consultation is available in English, French and German and will be open until 30 September 2013.
