Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons wins Nobel Peace Prize 2013

Today the Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2013 is to be awarded to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) for its extensive efforts to eliminate chemical weapons.

The OPCW is an intergovernmental organisation that deals with harmful weapons and has administrative power in the Chemical Weapons Convention which prohibits the use of chemical agents like sarin gas.
