Photo Competition - I live therefore I move/I move therefore I live.

The European Socialist Group in the Committee of the Regions is organising a photo competition, officially called “I live therefore I move/I move therefore I live”, with the theme of young people on the move. Through their photos, participants are asked to illustrate how an increasing number of young people in the EU leave their home place and spend some time abroad to have fun, but also to improve their chances for personal, educational or professional development.

The competitions addresses two main categories of youth:”18 to 35 year old” and “16 to 17 year old”. Entrants have to be residents in one of the 27 EU Member States. You could be asked to provide the organisers with a proof of residence at a later stage of the competition.

The following prizes will be awarded to the best participants:

I. “18 to 35 year old” Category

• 1st prize: a trip for two people to three European cities of their choice worth approximately 3 500 €.
• 2nd prize: a trip for two people to two European cities of their choice worth approximately 2 500 €
• 3rd prize: a trip for two people to one European city of their choice worth approximately 1 500 €.

In addition, winners of the “18 to 35 year old” category will be invited to take part in an award ceremony during the second half of 2011.

Winners will also receive a framed copy of their participating photos.
