Public consultation on possible future action to support the promotion and validation of non-formal and informal learning

The European Commission has launched a public consultation on possible future action to support the promotion and validation of non-formal and informal learning. The aim is to collect views on whether further action is needed, if so, what type of action is required and which policy priorities should be given attention.

All citizens and organisations are welcome to contribute to this consultation. Contributions are particularly sought from stakeholders at European, national and regional level involved in the delivery and/or validation of non-formal and informal learning.

The results will be analysed and summarised in a report that will be published in the first semester of 2011.
The questionnaire and background note are only available in English but responses to the questionnaire may be made in any of the Community languages.
Those interested in submitting position papers or complementing their questionnaire responses with more in-depth comments may send them to: EAC-VALIDATION-CONSULTATION@ec.europa.eu.

The consultation is available on http://ec.europa.eu/dgs/education_culture/consult/learning_en.html here and will remain open until 9 February 2011.
