The Network to Promote Linguistic Diversity (NPLD) scored high in the evaluation of the European Commission of its activities over the last three years.
NPLD is a pan-European network which was established with the aim of supporting, safeguarding and promoting European Regional and Minority languages. The network represents over 20 languages, including Breton, Occitan, Welsh and Frisian.
NPLD, co-funded by the European Commission, provides a platform for regional and minority language professionals from across Europe, to facilitate the exchange of best practice and information.
The network organises various events and working groups and supports the setting up of joint, funded language projects between its members. The outcomes of the projects are presented to the members and the wider public.
