Training course ‘Citizenship and election’

NETOP, Denmark, is looking for partners for the a training course on EU citizenship and EU parliamentary elections. Please find details below:

Action 4.3: Training and networking

Summary

‘Citizenship and election’ is a ten days training course targeting 24 youth leaders from Program countries.

The project aims at strengthening the participants’ active European citizenship. Beyond its main theme, ‘Citizenship and election’, is designed for giving participants tools and methods for acting as multipliers.

 

Among the themes of the training are such as :

1 / Knowledge upon EU topics in general, European Parliament and MEPs in particular;

2 / Awareness on the relevance of being active EU citizen and voting at the EP election of 2014;

3 / Knowledge upon the next generation of EU youth programme (Erasmus +) and possibilities for fundraising in EU;

4 / Ability to develop youth support actions in their home countries / local communities and promoting active EU citizenship in particular;

5 / Ability to conduct training session(s) according the non-formal education methods;

6 / Ability to lead intercultural groups of young people, conduct workshops and frame debates in a respectful way.

 

After the implementation of this project, the project team expects from the participants to act as multipliers, which means to be able to develop youth support actions in their home countries / local communities EU parliamentary elections, EU citizenship and rights that comes with it.

 

Dates and venue:

 

The project will take place in Slettestrand, Denmark, in spring 2014 (approx. on March – April 2014).

 

Eligible promoters:

Youth organizations from Program countries.

 

Participants:

Each promoter will send four participants, aged between 20 and 30 years.

 

Interested organizations are invited to fill in the document attached and latest on July 27th send it to pierre@intercollege.info. Please also specify your interest to take part in the project.
