World Health Organisation has launched an art competition targeting youth people worldwide.

As part of its work in promoting the benefits of physical activity, the World Health Organisation has launched an art competition targeting youth people worldwide.

Participants, from 8 and 18 years old, will have to create drawings or paintings drawings promoting physical activity and encouraging people to think about their health and the importance of engaging in physical activity.

Entries will be judged according to the following age groups: 8–12, 13–15 and 16–18.

In each age group five winners will be selected, who will, according to their position, receive cash prizes from 200 US$ to 75 US$, in addition to a certificate of merit.

 

The winning entries will be displayed during the high-level regional forum on a life-course approach to promote physical activity, taking place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 15 to 16 December 2013.

 

Deadline to submit entries: 20 November 2013.
