Next Tuesday 25 January, the European Parliament Intergroup on Youth will have an extraordinary meeting in presence of Commissioner Androulla Vassiliou (in charge of Education, Youth, Culture and Sport). The meeting aims at discussing the Youth On The Move initiative (the European Parliament is preparing a report on it) and the Intergroup recommendations on the creation of an “Erasmus for apprentices” (i.e. people in Vocational Education Training).
The session will provide further opportunity to bring forward the discussion on youth issues in the European Parliament.
It will include an introduction by Damien Abad (MEP and Chairperson of the Youth Intergroup) on YOTM and ‘Erasmus for apprentices’, a presentation by Commissioner Vassiliou on YOTM, and an intervention of Peter Matjasic, President of the European Youth Forum, followed by a Q&A session.
The event is open to the public and will involve MEPs, representatives of European Youth Forum member organisations and other stakeholders.
The event will be webstreamed on the websites of the European Parliament and of the European Youth Forum.
